What is Insights Discovery?
Insights Discovery is a psychometric tool based on the psychology of Carl Jung. It uses a simple four-colour model to help people understand their personal style, strengths, communication preferences and the value they bring to a team. It provides a practical and accessible way to improve self-awareness and relationships at work.
What are the four Insights Discovery colours?
The four Insights Discovery colour energies are:
Fiery Red – competitive, determined, strong-willed and purposeful.
Sunshine Yellow – sociable, dynamic, enthusiastic and persuasive.
Earth Green – caring, encouraging, sharing and patient.
Cool Blue – cautious, precise, deliberate and questioning.
Everyone has access to all four colour energies. Insights Discovery isn’t about putting people into boxes or identifying someone as simply “Red” or “Blue”.
What is an Insights Discovery Personal Profile?
An Insights Discovery Personal Profile is a personalised report designed to help an individual better understand their communication preferences, strengths, potential blind spots and approach to working with others.
Participants complete an online evaluator before their workshop or coaching session. Their responses are used to generate their individual Insights Discovery Personal Profile.
The profile provides a powerful starting point for conversations about self-awareness, communication, relationships, leadership and personal development.
How accurate is an Insights Discovery Profile?
Insights Discovery has been developed using established psychological theory and psychometric principles. Participants frequently find that their profile provides an insightful reflection of their preferred behaviours and communication style.
However, the profile should be used as a development tool rather than as a rigid definition of someone’s personality.
One of the most valuable parts of an Insights Discovery workshop is exploring the profile with an experienced practitioner and deciding which insights are most relevant to the individual.
