How Technip Used Insights Discovery To Promote Health & Safety
There are so many different ways you can use the Insights Discovery programme to the benefit of your organisation that it can be hard to know where to start! What’s always a good idea when considering adopting any new approach for business is to read some reviews of the product or software you’re considering – but also to look at some case studies to see how other companies have used it to their advantage.
Take Technip, a project management, engineering and construction firm for the energy industry, as an example. Back in 2005, after a disaster at a refinery in Texas City really put the focus on health, safety and the environment, the company decided to carry out a review of its own health and safety climate.
It was found that just 36 per cent of employees asked thought their line managers would prioritise health and safety above other business concerns, such as deadlines and budgets. As such, the decision was made to turn Technip into the reference company worldwide for health and safety.
The Insights portfolio was integrated into a new health and safety programme known as Pulse, with Insights Discovery woven in to support business leaders in making more effective choices regarding safety issues, as well as improving communication in this regard. Consequently, a recent survey found that Technip rose from number ten to number one in health and safety rankings in the last ten years.
As you can see, Insights can be tailored to suit any business requirement whatsoever.
